ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ
The remains of the ancient settlement of Theodosia are located west of the European Cimmerian Bosporus. Ancient writers mentioned it as a polis, an emporion or chorion in different periods, which indicates that through the centuries Theodosia, like most Greek cities (within and outside mainland Greece), went through various stages. Ancient authors located the city of Theodosia at a distance of 700 stadia from Panticapaeum and 280 stadia west of the town of Kazeka. |
