ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ
Genoa was engaged in exceptional trade activity in the Black Sea area from the late 13th to the late 15th c. This trade was the outcome of the personal initiative of the famous Genoese families such as the Dorias and the Zaccarias and resulted in establishing an exclusive monopoly on the export of some goods from the Black Sea. A network of officers – consuls who were appointed for a term of 1 year ruled the colonies. |
