ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ
In 375 the Huns, a nomadic steppe people, make their appearance in Eastern Europe on the way from Asia. They crush the Alans and Goths and pillage their way ahead. They turn against the Roman Empire and in 451, led by the famous Attila, they confront in the Catalanian Fields an army of Alans, Gauls, Burgundians and Visigoths, foederati of the Roman Empire under the leadership of the Roman patrician Aetius. The battle of Nedao in 454/455 marks the end of the Hunnic Empire. |
